Friday, 4 October 2013

Hello,

I have changed the format of my classes a little. The younger age group will be on Monday's same time 4.30-6.30 pm. Older children age 11-16 on Tuesday's 4.30-6.30 pm.

I have thought long and hard about this, and over the last few months have found that the younger children prefer to make less complicated dishes and especially like cake baking and biscuits, whereas the older children are really interested in the more challenging side of cookery so this is the main reason for change.

I will be updating the site soon with lots of fun Christmassy menus which will start in mid November right up to the big day!

Hope to see you all here soon. :)

Adult cookery lessons

Hello,

Are there any adults out there that would like to improve their everyday cookery skills? Would you love to be able to bake, decorate and create stunning cakes? Would you like to learn how to cook quick easy wholesome meals from scratch, and some more refined cookery for those special occasions? Then look no further!

From September I will be available for adult tuition as well as teaching the children's classes.

I can come to your home, or you can come to mine. Maybe you would like to work one to one, or would like to share a session with a friend, I am very flexible and can accommodate whatever suits you.

I will be hosting some specific baking and decorating classes in September right up to Christmas which will include seasonal themes, you can learn to make delicious gifts for your friends: All classes are now on the adult cookery page! :)

Easter classes pics!

Girls of all ages have had lots of fun this Easter, decorating cakes and biscuits.

Concentration....

Some of the older ones surprised themselves with what they achieved yesterday, with the making of the sugar roses, they are quite a challenge, but practise makes perfect!

It's been lovely meeting you all, and you have been a pleasure to teach!

There will be more cake classes throughout the school holidays this year, keep an eye on here and the Facebook page for updates! :)

11/3 Wk 2: Spring rolls, Thai noodles & Ginger cake

-
Well I'm pleased to say that the first class went very well, the children enjoyed it, which is what counts the most!

We cooked Spring Rolls, filled with chopped cabbage ,red peppers, ginger garlic, chicken, and fresh coriander which we wrapped in rice paper which wasn't great to work with to be honest, but the filling was delicious, sticking to Samosa wraps in future though! There was a dipping sauce to accompany them.

We also made Thai noodles

 .

And sticky Ginger cake.

                                                         We have a shy girl!

Looking forward to next weeks class and growing class numbers! :)
